Healthy Homestyle Baked Beans

- 2 15 oz. cans great northern beans, drained and rinsed
- 3 slices cooked uncured nitrate/nitrite free bacon, crumbled
- 1 cup filtered water
- 1/4 cup organic tomato paste
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 1/4 cup jarred sliced jalapeños
- 2 tbsp. brown coconut sugar
- 2 tsp. dijon mustard
- 1 tsp. garlic powder
- Himalayan sea salt and pepper to taste
Combine all ingredients in a saucepan over medium heat and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to a simmer and cook for 8 minutes until sauce thickens. Remove from heat and serve immediately.
